What the College Admissions Intensive Is
The College Admissions Intensive is a structured summer coaching program for rising seniors (Class of 2027) and their families. This is a limited cohort – 7 students maximum.
It is built on one idea: if your student does the reflection, research, and essay planning between May and August, September stops feeling like a fire drill. By the time the Common App prompts open, your student walks into senior year with a clear college list and essay angles ready to write.
This intensive is 1:1. Your student works directly with an experienced education leader with 25+ years in K-12 and three years embedded in college admissions strategy. Every session is shaped around your student, not a template.
Why Summer Planning Matters in a Competitive Admissions Landscape
According to the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), application volume has climbed steadily for more than a decade, and selectivity at many four-year institutions has tightened. The Common App’s annual application data consistently shows year-over-year growth in first-year applications. The practical takeaway for families: students who start early and plan thoughtfully have a real edge over peers who begin scrambling in October.
Data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) also highlights how much has changed in the last decade around admissions, enrollment, and financial aid. Families who understand those shifts make better decisions about fit, cost, and where to apply.
This College Admissions Intensive is designed around that reality. By August 1st, your student finishes the preparation phase and is ready to write the moment universities release their prompts.

Summer Pacing of the College Admissions Intensive

- July: College list finalization, essay theme identification and brainstorming
- Early August: Essay themes complete and ready to develop when universities release their prompts
By August 1st, your student has clarity. They know which schools fit their goals, they understand their story, and they have essay angles ready to go. When the prompts drop, they can begin writing immediately rather than scrambling to figure out what to say.
